Le’Chaim America is a project of Reut USA to orchestrate celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the United States by American Jewry in a distinctly Jewish manner that is also connected to Israel. These celebrations will be an expression of gratitude for the U.S. for being a home to one of the greatest Jewish communities in history and an ally of the State of Israel.
Le’Chaim American includes three efforts:

About the Semiquincentennial
Every fifty years, the United States holds grand Jubilee celebrations. Such celebrations were held in 1826 (Jubilee), 1876 (Centennial), 1926 (Sesquicentennial), and 1976 (Bicentennial). In 2026, the U.S. will celebrate its 250th anniversary, also known as the Bicentennial. While the highlight of the Semiquincentennial will be on July 4, 2026, thousands of events will take place over two years from June 2025 till July 4, 2027, in every state, city, and community. About Le’Chaim America
Within the broader context of the SQC, every minority is anticipated to celebrate its legacy in America, while exploring its condition and future in this country. Similarly, Jewish institutions across America are expected to mark America’s 250th with celebrations of their American journey and by exploring existential questions regarding the Jewish future in America. In this context, Reut USA is creating tools to support Jewish communities as they celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
About todah America
In every Jubilee celebration, the U.S. receives gifts and tributes from foreign governments and civic organizations. For example, in the Bicentennial in 1976, the U.S. received 176 gifts and tributes from ~40 nations, including 12 from the U.K. and 4 from Israel. Our favorite non-governmental gift was 1,000,000 bulbs of tulips from the Association of Flower Growers in the Netherlands, which were planted in cities across America.
Against this backdrop, Todah America will be a communal people-to-people gift from American Jewry and from Israel to the American people, expressing gratitude for the exceptional history of American Jewry in the U.S. and for the U.S.-Israel strategic alliance.
Decade of Renewal
The Semiquincentennial is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for communal renewal of American Jewry as the “great Diaspora of our time.” This effort will include a series of curated conferences and events to inspire and support communal renewal from the summer of 2025 to the summer of 2027.
About Reut USA
Reut
Reut USA is an American nonprofit (501(c)3 organization) that is a sibling organization of Israel’s Reut Group. Reut USA is a think-tank and leadership group, as well as the owner of TOM Global, which is an international humanitarian venture designed to help vulnerable populations. Le’Chaim America, Todah America, and A Decade of Renewal are three efforts of Reut USA that master its think-tank, leadership, and grassroots capabilities.
Gidi grinstein
Gidi Grinstein is the founder and president of Reut USA, and also the Founder and President of Israel’s Reut Group. Since 2012, Gidi and the Reut Group have focused on Israel-U.S. relations and on Israel’s relations with American Jewry through a series of efforts (see under More). Gidi is the author of Flexigidity: The Secret of Jewish Adaptability (Amazon) and of numerous articles and policy papers in these areas. He is also the host of the Flexigidity Podcast (YouTube; Spotify; Apple) that deals with the condition and direction of American Jewry.

Gidi Grinstein hosts the Flexigility Podcast (YouTube; Spotify; Apple), where he discusses the condition and direction of American Jewry. As of October 2025, the Flexigidity Podcast covered the rise of American Jewry with Prof. Jonathan Sarna; the federation system with Dr. John Ruskay; venture philanthropy with Dr. Jeff Solomon; Jewish Statecraft with Amb.
