The Great Diaspora: Visioning American Jewry at America’s 250th

On July 21, 2025, the Rabbi Sacks Legacy and Reut USA led a conference on the future of “American Jewry as the great diaspora of our time,” which was held at the UJA Federation of NY.

The conference built on the intellectual legacy of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks zt”l, who had a deep belief in America and American Jewry. In addition, the conference built on the work of Reut USA regarding American Jewry in the year 2054, which was titled AJ2054.

The conference dealt with the issues that constitute the agenda of an American Jewry that seeks to sustain its stature as the “great diaspora of our time.”

In particular, the conference explored the opportunities created by the U.S. 250th celebrations for a period of spiritual and organizational renewal.
